Blade Culture
The Bronze Age(c. 2000 BC)
The earliest bronze swords in China emerged during the Shang Dynasty. These swords were simple in design and were primarily used for ceremonial purposes and self-defense. As craftsmanship advanced, the blades gradually became longer, and exquisite decorative patterns began to appear.

The Iron Age (c. 500 BC)
During the Warring States Period, iron became widespread, and steel swords gradually replaced bronze ones. The swords of this era were longer and more durable, and famous blades such as the Pine-Grain Sword (Songwen Jian) and the Fish-Gut Sword (Yuchang Jian) emerged.
The Tang-Song Period (618–1279)
The Tachi of the Tang Dynasty and the Jian of the Song Dynasty represent the pinnacle of traditional Chinese sword and knife craftsmanship. Not only were they incredibly sharp, but they were also exquisitely decorated, becoming symbols of status and power.
